Greetings from Georgia! Welcome to my blog. I am Debbie.

Writing was my passion many years ago. Published and unpublished articles are stored in a closet. I owned a word processor and submitted manuscripts through the mail. Waiting for an acceptance or rejection letter was grueling. Neither the wait nor the rejection letters hindered me from writing. Designing a blog with unfamiliar terminology, layouts, plugins, etc. is challenging. Fortunately, I can google and watch YouTube videos. When I am stumped, I text my adult son.
I did not think anything would stop me from writing. Those thoughts ended when my first grandchild was born. He is now 24 years old and was followed by two more boys and two girls. We grandmothers know the indescribable joy grandchildren bring. How quickly our grandchildren grow up. Our aging cycle speeds up as we slow down. I am no longer the favored playmate or accomplice of my teenage grandchildren and 23-year-old grandson. I have been replaced by youth groups, sports, bands, sleepovers, dances, shopping, phones, cars, and jobs.
I am beginning a blog because I love to write. I am also starting it because I am entering a foreign season in my life. I am choosing to call it a season of solitude. My immunocompromised body is demanding it. My comfort comes from knowing Jesus had times of solitude. I believe God whispered this blog into my heart. Oswald Chambers stated, “Faith never knows where it is being led, but it knows and loves the One who is leading.” As God leads me in this blog, I will follow. “… for we walk by faith, not by sight —” 2 Corinthians 5:7
